Hi I’m Sophie, a performer turned mental performance coach who helps other artists and high achievers use psychology to address performance anxiety, manage stress, and build self-confidence.
Being a trained performer myself, I understand the industry pressures that come with a career in the arts AND how it affects the mind/body relationship.
After seeing so many performers quit due to mental blocks and burnout, I’ve made it my mission to equip artists with the mental skills that athletes and high performers use to build resilience and find freedom in performance.
I use my backgrounds in psychology, physiology, and performance to holistically address the mental side of high performance. I work with artists & entrepreneurs who experience performance anxiety or chronic stress during social situations, public speaking, professional performance, or working in a high-stress environment. These situations often lead to blurred boundaries, burnout, and weakened self-confidence. Chronic stress stimulates the sympathetic nervous system and leaves us struggling in the fight-or-flight state. My coaching helps to teach various somatic and cognitive techniques designed to increase self-awareness and feelings of control. I aim to build confidence while mitigating stress symptoms for a holistic approach.

Everyone is different, but I aproach performance anxiety/stage fright on multiple fronts to simultaneously build self-confidence AND reduce performance anxiety symptoms.
When it comes to performance anxiety symptoms, we would introduce strategies for calming the nervous system, uncover mental roadblocks, address unhelpful thought patterns, and rewire your brain for peak performance.
Next we would build a foundatio for confidence by identifying your unique strengths & values, so you know what YOU bring to the table without needing external validation.
Lastly, we would create a gameplan of habits, routines, and practices that support your ability to manage stress and remain resilient as an artist.

Nope. While there are similar concepts and tools used in both therapy and coaching, therapy often centers treatment around a diagnosis, and there will be no labels or formal diagnosis in coaching. Additionally, therapists work with clients on addressing the "whys" behind current distress, often investigating trauma and focusing on a healing of the past.
Coaching is more action-oriented, focusing on the present and future rather than the past. Similar to therapy, my background in psychology informs my coaching style, teaching research-backed techniques to help you align your current actions with your future goals. In my coaching, I aim to partner with my clients to develop the skills of confidence and resilience so that they are equipped to handle whatever life throws at them. I’m here to be your support system, mentor, cheerleader, and detective as we rewire your brain for peak performance.

My goal is to be a positive support system and provide you with tools and techniques that will outlast our time together.
All of my clients begin with twelve sessions over a six-month period to establish a solid foundation. It gives us plenty of time to build self-awareness and create, test, and fine-tune your personalized tools library.
From there, I offer a monthly coaching subscription to continue checking in and providing support and accountability as you continue your career. Creating lasting change is a process that looks different for everyone, but I'm here to provide accountability and encouragement for as long or short as you need me
